I felt super sluggish on everything but the squats.  I was expecting my metcon to be negatively effected by SS, and I think this a good example.

dude, anytime you focus on one thing and not another, you will have a "negative" effect on the other thing. there is nothing negative about SS, it's just a different focus. If you did CF as RXed, it would have a "negative" effect on your strength. there is no way to "focus" on everything". remember, the squat strengthens your legs and core big time, and that is necessary to have good CF numbers. there is no way around it.
